Google My Business is an effective tool for your business network, as it allows physical business locations to increase search visibility on Google Search and Google Maps. It makes it easy for your customers to get to your location, read and share reviews, and find useful information (phone number, website, working hours, etc.). Also, it's free and easy-to-use!

How to get started with posting on Google My Business:

Connect Your Google My Business to PromoRepublic.

Important:

Only verified locations can be connected to PromoRepublic. Read how to create and verify your local business on Google.

According to Google My Business API, there is a limitation - a business with over 10 locations cannot use the post feature through third-party tools like PromoRepublic.

Create a post for Google My Business

  • Posts made with PromoRepublic will get in the 'What's new?' section*
  • Your post can contain text (up to 1500 characters) and 1 attached image (square)
  • In PromoRepublic you can't add a call-to-action (CTA) button to your posts

*What's new posts are the posts that provide general information about your business. This type of GMB posts doesn't require a title and a start/end date like 'Offer' and 'Event' post types do. For example, a restaurant could make a post to promote a new menu item.

Notice. Google My Business works a little differently than other social networks do - your posts expire after 1 week and will no longer appear in Google’s search results.

Tip. Keep sharing updates and stand out in Google Search and Maps by scheduling ahead and recycling posts. Read about it here.

Reporting and Statistics are not available for Google My Business network.
