Introduction

According to Facebook's API, automatic posting from third-party apps is available for business pages but not for groups.

☝️To share content in a Facebook Group, use the PromoRepublic mobile app. It facilitates a semi-automatic posting method for groups where you have permission to post.

You can publish posts in any group where you're a member or an administrator. Note that the post will follow the typical approval process, which might include admin approval depending on the group's settings.

Getting Started

For PromoRepublic Customers

First, download the PromoRepublic mobile app based on your device:

Log in using the same method as you do on your desktop, whether it's email/password or Facebook login. It's crucial to use the same login credentials on the mobile app as you did on the desktop to prevent any access issues. For example, if you originally used email and password on the desktop, you cannot log in with Facebook on the mobile app, and vice versa.

After scheduling a post for a specific day and time, you will receive a notification on your phone when it's time to publish. If you are managing multiple groups, you will receive separate notifications for each group when their respective posts are ready to be published.

If you are using doTERRA Social, please ensure that you download and use the doTERRA Social app instead. The doTERRA Social app is tailored specifically for doTERRA Wellness Advocates who are using our service to post.

Posting Process

For iOS devices

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to post to Facebook groups on iOS devices.

Open the app, navigate to the On Hold section and find the necessary post.
Click on the Publish button.
On the next screen, you will see 2 pop-up messages:
- that the post text has been automatically copied, allowing easy pasting later,
- that the post has been marked as published.
☝️ It is marked so because our app can't trace the next actions that you'll apply next, and if for any reason you will not proceed further, the post will be marked as published in the calendar even if it is not.
Select Destination by choosing the Facebook app, after which you'll directed there.
At this step, feel free to paste the caption that was prepared previously. Tap the screen, hold for a moment and paste the copy. Then, click Next at the top right.
Choose the group you want to post and click Share. Only after clicking Share, will the post actually be published to your Facebook group.

For Android devices

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to post to Facebook groups on Android devices.

Open the app, navigate to the On Hold section and find the necessary post.
Click on the Publish button.
At the bottom, a notification will emerge that the post's text has been automatically copied, allowing easy pasting later.
Click OK to proceed to the next step. You'll see a list of apps on your phone and one of them should be 'Facebook groups'.
Choose the group you want to post to, paste the text and click Post. Only after clicking this button, will the post actually be published to your Facebook group.

By following these steps, you can manage your Facebook Group postings effectively using the PromoRepublic app or the doTERRA Social apps, depending on your site version. Remember to adhere to all group rules and seek admin approval if required.
