As a marketer leader of a multi-location business, it is essential to keep track of content usage and its performance and adjust your social media marketing strategy accordingly.

Monitoring the right metrics helps marketing teams spot underperforming content and promptly pinpoint the best samples. Our Content Performance Analytics consolidates all the content-related data in clear and concise dashboards to help you find the perfect “recipe” for your content marketing success. It aggregates high-level data at different stages of the content life cycle within the PromoRepublic platform.

The dashboard displays how your partners are interacting with different types of content suggested by Headquarters. Users of HQ accounts can also compare changes to a similar previous reporting period. Here is the full list of metrics you can track with Content Performance Analytics:

  • Total content published on social media

  • Content published using the platform

  • New assets added

  • Assets used

  • Posts proposed for approval

  • Top shared assets

  • Top performing content (Proposed posts / Individual posts)

  • Publishing behavior

How does it work?

To get there click on Dashboard on the top right, pick Social Performance in the drop-down and switch to Content Performace.

At the top of the report, you will see key content metrics across all locations:

  • Total content published on social media

  • Content published using the platform

Before diving into the numbers select the time period that you'd like to get the report for at the top right. Note that the data presented in the report is compared with the past period of the same duration.

For, example if you select a 7-day period, the numbers will be compared to the previous 7-day period.

If needed, you can export the report by clicking on the blue Export button. A pdf file will be prepared for downloading momentarily.

Assets

New Assets Added - The total number of assets and the distribution of the asset type uploaded to the content hub by Headquarters for the selected period.

Assets Used - The distribution of all existing assets and asset types used by end-users during the selected period.

Content Label Performance

Users of HQ accounts can assign custom labels to content uploaded to the platform. Labelling makes managing and tracking content performance easier and more accurate. For example, you can label promo-related content or limited collaboration and always have a performance widget at hand.

This widget highlights the five most-used labels related to the content published by local teams. It’s based on the labels HQ users assign for the suggested posts and is available in the Content Performance Dashboard tab.

Together Content Performance Analytics and Labels allow you to see which types of content (product categories, campaigns, etc.) are performing best. These data will then help you understand what works for your audience across different channels and locations and, as a result, optimize your spending.

Most Used Assets for Sharing

This sub-section name is pretty self-explanatory. These are the most popular assets used by the end-user to share on social media.

2. The number of pages where the post appeared in the calendar as suggested.

3. The unique number of times the user in the locations saw the suggested post in their calendar.

4. The number of posts that were approved by users for publishing on their social media accounts.

Top Performing Content

In this section, you can see the actual content performance. It is divided into two two parts: proposed and individual posts.

Proposed Posts - an aggregated performance of proposed posts across all social pages and accounts that were approved for publishing.

Individual Posts - the best performing individual post is based on engagement per impression ratio or total engagement of the post. Each social media will have a maximum of 20 best-performing posts for the selected period. Posts published on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest will be calculated based on the highest engagement only. Posts published on Facebook and Instagram will be calculated based on their engagement per impression ratio.
