How to troubleshoot issues with the Facebook listings connection

Introduction

In order to successfully connect your Facebook listing to PromoRepublic (individual pages or pages in the brand page/location page structure), there are some requirements that must be met. Make sure to check all the points listed in this article.

Troubleshooting methods consist of two steps: checking the general requirements and checking the page access level.

Step 2: Check the page roles and access/control levels

In order to set a person's admin rights for a Facebook page correctly so that PromoRepublic can connect to the necessary Facebook page through that person's profile successfully, different roles and access levels have to be checked and set to the ❗highest level.Β 

βœ… Your access to the page is set to Full Control, or your page role is set to Admin.

  1. Log into Facebook, then click your personal profile photo in the top right.

  2. Click 'See All Profiles', then select the business page you want to switch to and check people's access to.

  3. Click on the blue 'See Dashboard' button on the right.Β 

  4. On the next page, find Page Access in the left-side menu.

5. You will then see the People with Facebook access. Click on the person's name to ensure that the role assigned is ❗Full Control.

πŸ‘‰ On this page, you can also see if this page is added to a certain Business Portfolio. If so, you need to check if the necessary person is assigned the full access role there.

You can check if people have certain pages assigned to them, and you can check who is assigned to certain pages.

Assets/pages assigned to a person

1. In the Meta Business Suite, click on the little gear icon next to the Business Account's name on the left side or on Settings on the bottom left.

2. Click on People and select the respective person by tapping on their name. Here, you will see all pages that are assigned to this person as assets.

3. If the person doesn't have the page assigned as an asset, you can click on Assign Assets.


4. In the next screen, you can choose the page you want to assign to the person and set the level of control. In order to connect a Facebook page to PromoRepublic, the connecting person needs to have full control, therefore, please make sure to enable Full Control - Everything.

People assigned to an asset/page

1. In the Meta Business Suite, click on the little gear icon next to the Business Account's name on the left side or on Settings on the bottom left.

2. On the right, find the Business Assets section.

3. Click on the necessary page name, and it will open a list of people to the right.

It will contain the people who are either not in this Business Portfolio, but who are admin on the page directly (People with Facebook access), people with full control and people with partial access.Β 

4. Here, you can either edit the necessary person's access level or assign the necessary person to this page by clicking on Assign People.
