Connection Requirements
There are two types of YouTube channels: personal and brand.
To connect a personal one is pretty easy - you just need login credentials to the Google account that owns the channel.
To connect a brand one you must have an Owner or Primary Owner role. The Manager role is not sufficient.
How to Change the Role
In case you need to have your role upgraded, the Primary Owner of the channel or an existing Owner needs to do the following:
Open YouTube Studio and switch to the Brand channel.
At the bottom left, find Settings. Clicking it will open a pop-up where you'll see Permissions.
Tap Manage permissions and add the user as Owner or change their role from Manager to Owner.
Once you accept the invitation, you'll be able to connect the desired channel to PromoRepublic.
Note: the Primary Owner's role stays unchanged.
How to Connect a YouTube Channel
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to connect your YouTube channel to our platform.
There are two ways to connect a page to PromoRepublic: in the Calendar or in the Location settings.
As a one-location franchisee, you might have one location. At the top, click Publishing -> Calendar -> Connect Page.
If you are invited to several locations, it might be more convenient to open the settings of the necessary location.
Click on the top right corner and tap Locations.
In the Location list, tap the gear icon next to the necessary one.
In the Connect Pages and Teammates tab, click Connect More Pages.
In the next view, tap YouTube.
Authorise your YouTube channel by selecting the necessary Google account and granting the necessary permissions.
Once done, pick the desired page from the drop-down menu. Feel free to use the search to find it faster.
π In order to connect multiple YouTube channels, ensure you are authorised in the necessary Google account by selecting it in the permission pop-up window.
